My buddie and i got a tandem from his uncle, its a 75 mel pinto and it has some troubles shifting...
when we shift from the second chainring(44) into the third(52) the chain gets caught up in between, my friends uncle said to pull the shifter faster but that didnt help at all. any suggestions?
Does the bike shift properly when being held up and the pedals being cranked. If not I would say it is a limit screw on your front deraileur. If it does shift ok, you may try soft pedaling during shifting and see if you get a clean shift. Either way I would make sure everything is cleaned and lubed in your drivetrain.
