Just curious if anyone on here is from Houston... I have seen a group leave downtown on a number of occasions and am looking for a contact with that group. Thanks!

I'm up here in Spring, so I'm a little north of ya. You'll find me riding around in the Woodlands or FM 1488.

Come lately I have been riding alone.
Sorry, I don't know about that group that d-town group. With all the different little groups in the "greater" Houston area, it is hard to keep track.
And I guess I passed your yacht on my way to the Steeldrum festival last weekend.

I'm moving to the Houston area in about a month or so, to the 1960/Kuykendal area. I ride a mountain bike, what do you guys ride and where?

Lets see here. There is of course the Ho Chi Minh, There is a trail system down in Hitchcock. There is a large bike/hike system over in Kingwood. Most cases you have to drive to get back with the dirt. If not, your lucky, or like urban/suburban assualt.

Have you tried:
http://txbra.netcyclesolutions.com/events/trainingrides.asp
txbra is pretty much *the* site for road training/racing in Tx.
For mtb try www.tmbra.org
Even though it's a San Antonio-based site, lots-o Houston people seem to hang out on Bike Mojo as well....
