I moved to phoenix a few weeks ago, and the only place i have tried is south mountain. what else is not too far away, and how do i get there? are there any club mtn bike rides also?

It has been 12 years since I've been to Phoenix so I do not remember the names of the trails. Most of the bike shops have a trail map for cyclists that show you where the trails are and give the ride distance. I do remember that most of the good trails were near Scottsdale. You can ride to them in about 20 to 30 min depending on what type of shape you are in. Just east of Phoenix there is a 14 mi single track (at least there was when I was there) that is fun and fast with a good climb. I believe that one of the trail heads is off of Lincoln but I would double check with some one local. Hope this helped.
