here's why MKS pedals are worth it.

i'm not sure if the first screw loosened and fell out or stripped, but the second one definitley stripped out (and i have no idea where i would find a replacement screw like that anyway). i was actually able to ride (and skip) for a while longer, since (luckily) it wasn't the strap side of the pedal that broke... i could still pull up on that strap. good times.

btw, its a dimension pedal. ya get what ya pay for.

wellp, i was thinking about going back to my eggbeaters anyway...

least you didn't get hurt, this happened to me when i broke my pedals http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=70641

i ended up with the mks gs-9? for a while, but i am on eggbeaters now...i'd say skip the mks and just straight for the clipless

dude this happened to me last night
coming home, i stood up to pedal and the back of my clipless pedals just broke out
it reslulted in a nasty spill and i think i broke one of my fingers, not cool
but this drunk guy who was driving behind me pulled over
he was like "whoa did i just hit you?" and i laughed

you should have told him he did and asked him for some money, drunk guys(especially when they're driving, well only if they're dumb enough to get behind the wheel) deserve to be messed with

well he offered to give me a ride home
but i though it safer to walk my bike home injured rather than ride in a car with a drunk guy

I'da called the cops. If he's THAT drunk, he REALLY shouldn't be on the road. I tell ya what though, you've got to be a decent sort of person to actually stop and ask that when you're drunk rather than driving away as soon as you thought you did something wrong 'cuz you're afraid of the consequences.

Way to go, Drunk Dude!

Dude pedals arent that much money....I got a pair of primos tenders on my bike and those damn things are indestructible.

They are good, aren't they?! I've had some platform MKSs on my MTB for years. They're so strong and really grippy.

Unlucky about the breakage though. At least you're ok.

are those the rx1 pedals? Those are pricy... i have a set and i hope mine don't break. I heard riding clipless is not so safe because when put the pull up to skid you can pop out of. Any truth to this?
