Training & Nutrition - Fluid Trainer?

What fluid trainer do you have and why you like it? (I'm thinking about buying one and getting rid of my mag trainer)

I have this one (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=20982&subcategory_ID=4120) from Performance. I like it so far. I also have a set of rollers I got off EBay which helps with the boredom.

I've heard awesome things about the cycleops fluid2. Thats what I plan on getting.

I have the cycleops fluid 2. It's ok. I prefer riding outside, though, so I'm not sure what to say. I haven't had any rear wheel wear. It's relatively quiet, though not totally silent.

i got a fluid2, but i havnet gotten it out of the box yet. :(

My Fluid 2 was delivered on Thursday - I set it up and spent some time on it (about an hour or so), and like Koffee says it's not like riding outside. I was surprised as to how quiet it is - most of the noise comes from the tyre. This type of trainier tends to be brutal to tyres, so I've put an old slickie on the rear just for use on the trainer. Another useful piece of gear is a thong device thingie (for the bike!) to protect it from the sweat - that and a large fan (no slipstream on a stationary trainer folks!) are essential equipment - (oh, and a towel also…)

I have a set of rollers, which are more fun to ride than the Fluid 2, but not having resistance it's difficult to get a really good work out on them, although they're great for improving your form.

Both my cats are intrigued when I use the bike indoors, but luckily no accidents (so far) and they seem to take less notice of the bike than they do of the Nordic-Trak.

I just bought the Fluid 2 today myself. I've had a wind resistance trainer from the old days that I'd been using and wanted to ratchet it up a bit. I'm hoping it is as quiet as people say, the old one was plenty noisy. I also bought a few Spinerval videos.

I've given up on being able to ride outdoors for the rest of this year and I needed to do something.

My LBS gave me a great deal on the Kinetic Road Machine a couple weeks ago. Came with a Spinerval DVD which should help wile away the hours when the snow starts falling around here. Hopefully I'll get another month of real riding outside before I give it up for the season.

I switched from mag to Supergo's S FL-1 fluid trainer. It was said to be very quiet and it is.

I have been using a Cycle ops Fluid for 7-8 years. The first one went 6 years before it started leaking. Although the company had changed hands in the interim, they took mine back and gave me a Fluid 2 for $100. It is smoother and quieter than the old one and gives you a decent workout. If you live in an apartment your downstairs neighbors may not like you much as the vibration goes right through the floor.

I have a rim drive traininer, but i found that the best way to cut the vibration was to get some old sheets, fold them into a rectangle thats a bit bigger than the base of the trainer then place it under there. seems to cut the noise a lot and even with the tool that lives downstiars from me, hes never ocmplained about the trainer. also cyclops sell a matt that is supposed to perform the same function.

I got one and I am using it with enthusiasm. My target speed is only 17 MPH and that is no problem with tire wear. As time goes by I intend to average 20 MPH. I will report how that goes.
This unit is not noisy or causes any problems.
A funny story for your amusement: The other day I was really impressed How much stronger I got because I could get up to 20 MPH no problem, no sweat. Next day I find out that I had a flat tire and was spinning free, less CycleOps2. :o
