When I rode one about a month ago, it seemed like a very fast bike. Some people like a full suspension bike to be squishy all the time. I have heard that the epic would be liked by people upgrading from a hardtail.

I've ridden one and its everything it promises to be. The suspension is fully active, and yet locked out in a second. The longest delay is about 1 pedal stroke. Also you get an honest 90mm of travel out of the rear, while the fsr sags about a 1/3 into the travel.
But dam, I wish I had one, seriously

I was able to test ride one last weekend. I liked it alot :D . The bike felt great except for the seat, handlebars and grips. Anyway, I ended up placing an order at my LBS for an EPIC disc. Should be here next month, can't wait.
