i was there, didn't really know people names/nicks. as an out-of-towner my only goal was to not get hit. there was one or two close calls while i was following 48x16 around, i only recognized him later cause of the 0$/gal stencil on his bag.
the best part was someone auctioning off dry socks at the end of the race.
i'll be back for the bf meet 'n' greet.

Was a standings list ever made? I'd really like to know how I finished. I mean..it wasn't good but I think I did alright for my first race.
EDIT: Half way home from the party I realized that I was #1 really drunk, #2 really dehydrated and #3 really hungry. My girlfriend is the best and went out and bought me 2 bottles of gatorade and a large helping of pad thai from Thai Lagoon. mmmmmm

i dont dont know for sure though really, i was drunk at the second to last checkpoint before anyone even showed up there,

yeah the shoulder is so-so.
for anyone not aware, i wiped out at said location and dislocated my right shoulder, but i popped it back in place eventually.
after that, started riding w/ bonelesschicken to hang out at a later checkpoint and then own the trackstand comp (how did that go btw? please someone tell me that it was won w/ a no-footed trackstand or something, so i dont feel so down about having mastered the one-footed this week) but we BOTH wiped out @ the Lasalle? bridge, lol what a dork I am. anyway, fugged up my left wrist pretty good. hopefully nothing broken. boneless was in identical condition. guess I gotta call in to work tomorrow, a bike mechanic is pretty useless w/o any arms.
anyone got any pics from before or after?

As far as Salome doing well she got third place in the women category which is better than TeaDogg who was a little afraid to even race in the race. He just showed up for the skid. If you want to know why TeaBag is so good in the track skids its cause he doesn't have any nuts to get in the way of him laying all the way out on the stem. think about it!
As far as results it went like this...

5. Fry (who moved here from mpls in July).

Sorry I forgot peoples names but the top two were in about 45 seconds before number 3 and 4. Places 5-8 were a sprint down Ashland to that sharp turn up Kinzie. It was a good race overall.
The rest of the Fixed Gear Forums did pretty well with most placing in the top 25. I would like to point out that 2 ex-mpls kids were well represented.
By far the coolest point of the race was flying from the Hancock tower to Wrigley on clark. For those not from chi-town clark sucks like Teadoggs mother. It is all ripped up and crazylike. On the way up clark some guy in the group with me(we were in positions 9-15 at this point) lost his crank! It just came off his BB(a phil wood by the way?). He kept it up almost all the way to Wrigley before he had to slow down for a car.
Damn. I think bib shorts are where it is at.
also big up to the crew that I rode to the race with!

I was lucky enough to grab onto a dude who was from Chicago and was really ballsy at taking red lights. He wasn't as fast as me but I figured riding with someone who knew exactly where to go (we took Halsted, not Clark like you other crazies) and could lead me through some nasty intersections that had reds was a good trade off.
If I got top 25 I would be delighted.

i'm pretty sure i'm dead last, but considering i changed a flat and came in pretty close behind the people in front of me i have something to be proud of. great course and cool to meet some new people (Sean). almost got creamed on clark and knocked into a valet and almost skewered a woman at fullerton and clark with my bullhorns. it was a blast all around. bring on the tour da chicago
