Well here's my bike again. Done except I need a seatpost and maybe a front deraileur, I may just run it with a single up front. Built up an old frame with all new parts a few months back and ended up finding a crack not long after finishing. Now rebuilt again on a new 03 Mountain Cycle Rumble. I may have finally found the "do everything" frame I've wanted. It's light enough to do xc and pretty beefy with good geometry for freeride and jumping.
03' rockshox duke xc u-turn
deore hubs w/rhynolites
XT v-brakes, shifters, rear deraileur, no front derailuer yet
raceface turbine cranks/rings
raceface evolve bars
cane creek s6 headset
Stem is Matrix(some low end stem but looks cool and doubt I'll bust it)
oem seatpost that doesn't quite fit but does the job with paper shims for now.
I haven't been out on a "real" ride with it yet, just putted around to make sure everything was tight and to get an idea for final tuning and adjusting. I'm dying to go riding as soon as the weather lets me.
Let me know what you think.
Looks good, have fun with it!

Nice, except I don't like the stem :p (reminds me of the stock Hardrock stem too much).

The only thing I'm sketchy on is the paper shims. I even like the homemade chainstay guard.

Thanks for the replies. Well, in regard to the seatpost, I finished the bike and all I have sitting around is a 30.4 seatpost, the frame takes a 30.9 so jsut for the sake of riding and testing it out, a few layers of paper around the post did the trick. Still have to get out and really ride. Hopefully today after work.

Cut an alu pop can for a shim. I've nice ones for bars -alu tubing cut with a saw lengthwise\chop the ends.

Nice looking. Enjoy. Only question I have, why did ya turn a dj/urban frame into a XC frame? ;) It will do the job but I am just curious :D
Ok, a few more comments, with the red frame and fork you should get black chain rings and black rims. Also a black stem would be nice. This is just my personal opinion and it wont affect the ride ;)

Well, I didn't really turn it into a xc bike......I don't think. Wasn't trying to anyway. It is my xc/urban/freeride/all mountain bike. ;p The frame is designed to be an xc friendly urban/freeride bike. I've been in search of a bike I can do anything I want on for a long time. I'm hoping I've found it. I will probably drop the large chainring and put on a bashguard since I never use it anyway and would also like to aviod chainring busting endos. I was thinking of anodizing the stem black if it doesn't cost alot. The rims are black rhynolites but look silver casue of the v-brake track. I wasn't too keen on the red color frame but it would have been over $100 more for the same frame in black. I'm pretty happy with it even though it's a little more *bling* than I wanted with the red frame. It almost makes it look cheap but I'm hoping that is jsut because I need to get used to it bright blazing red.
Get it nice and dirty then you won't even think about it.
It probably just looks weird to you because the fork colour actually matches the frame colour.

Exactly. :D
