And it was one of the best ever! Barely any traffic at all, a crazy tailwind, and no sweating!! :)

Actually I'm in Tampa so it was more like a tropical storm than a hurricane, but there was still a good amount of wind and rain to deal with. There were also a lot of downed tree branches and deep puddles to dodge on the way in as well.

I thought I prepared pretty well. Silicone sprayed my backpack, double wrapped my work clothes in plastic bags, and stuck my wallet and cell phone in a zip lock bag. Yeah, it was all dry, I got to change, feel great, get to my desk.... where are my shoes?? DOH! Brought them home on friday!!! So I can either wear my soaking wet cycling shoes, or go in socks. I'm in socks right now and I'm not moving from my desk unless I absolutely have to.

Anyway, it was a fun ride. The tail wind was so strong I was able to ride up the big overpass in my HIGHEST gear. I thought that was pretty awesome. I was keeping up with cars. Hopefully the wind is gone by the time I have to go home...

Anyway, fun ride in. Very wet, cool, and no traffic. I'd take this weather over traffic most days I think :)

Goodluck on the way home. My windstorms always pick up when I want to peddle home and it feels like double flats for 45 minutes.

I lived :D

Man it was a crazy horrible headwind. I think I saw on the news it was a steady 39mph wind. We also had a cold front come through and I was wearing wet clothes from the morning. I made it though, and this morning was chilly but nice out.
