I'm interested in getting some feedback on the Minoura Action Mag Roller with magnetic resistance unit.Specifically, I'd like to know if the magnetic resistance unit supplies enough resistance to give a good workout. I realize that may be a relative question....I'm a strong rider that puts in 50 to 60 mile mountain road rides several times a week and I enjoy a good sweat. Also, is it built strong enough to last? Thanks in advance for the input.

I use a "fluid" trainer.

Unlike some trainers where you can vary the resistance using a control, to provide greater resistance on the fluid trainer, I use a bigger gear. I'm almost 48 years old, 150 pounds, have run 5 marathons and scads of shorter road races from 5k to 1/2 marathon. I've been cycling for the past 3 years due to knee problems. So, I think I'm pretty fit cardio wise. There's definitely enough resistance there to get my heart rate to max.

Even without a resistance-unit, using high gears on normal rollers gives you plenty of resistance for a workout.
