i am working on a trick that i think is pretty cool. i havent actually acomplished it without falling to the ground but i get going about 12 MPH and nail the front brake until my rear wheels about 1.5 feet off the ground and try to kick my rear end around and keep riding in a new direction, i was practicing in an empty car park today that recently get repaved so its nice and smoth, im sure people already do this but im looking for tips or something from people that already do it, ive always liked flatland tricks on BMX bikes i thought i would try it on moutain bikes thanks clips/vids are always nice

So your tail is like sideways and your moving forewards? Yeah I've even done that. But it does look preety cool, awsome show-off trick. ;)

yeah thats kinda what i was thinking, but i think you might have misunderstood me, you only have the rear end up to pivot on the front wheel like i go at about 12-15 mph and then turn my wheel and hit the front brake at the same time and try to pivot on my front wheel making like a 90 degree turn or even a 180 degree turn. not riding like that just turning like that, i got some pretty odd looks from people driving by, they must have thought i didnt know how to ease on the front brakes,

Ah, yeah. Thats what i meant. Lol, I get some funny looks too when Im riding. I can do a one handed X-up manual for about a solid second if im lucky, (im not very good at manualling) and the old people seem to give me the most nice expressions. :/

hiya.

try to do what you are doing- a 180 degree nose wheelie, and when you land it, pull up on the bars and look over your shoulder again. unlock the front brake and clamp down on the rear one a fraction of a second later, after the bike has changed directions. pull the bars up and put them down behind you where you should be looking. you can do a 180 nose wheelie into a 180 pivot on your rear wheel. if you have enough speed, you can even pull off another 180 nose wheelie.

it impresses chicks at mtn bike parks.

don't try near curbs the first few times! find a grassy field!

hold on so, you want to do a stoppie then spin the rear of the bike in the oposite direction then ride off.

why would a nose wheelie help, and they are really hard to do.

i cant do them but i know people who can, and you need to practice them alot. if they dont look fluid and clean they dont look too good.

look where you want to land- the body follow the head.

keep some speed- if you go into it too slow you stall and fall over. speed is your friend.
