i have a 99' fuji hardtail frame, components are crappy and outdated so i was gunna overhaul the entire drivetrain, and possibly throw in some disc brakes( i know ill need to work in some mounts a well), or even a new front suspension fort. Thing is, ill probably end up putting i quite a bit of money to accomplish this enough to buy a brand new bike. Is it worth it to put some top of the line shimano xtr components ona 7 year old frame? Its gone through some rough trails, and some jumps, nothing insane, but my wheels are quite out of shape So, sacrafice for an allrounder decent modern bike, new frame and xt components, or stick with the frame and go all out on xtr components?
