SPOON will be in my corner of the world (well, about an hour away) in November....on a Wednesday night...bah. Anyone seen them in concert? Is it worth an hour trip/late night on a work night to see them? I really enjoy Gimme Fiction, but have not heard anything else by them.

I saw them at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill a few years ago - they were very good live.
I haven't listened to them in awhile, though... can't say how their act is nowadays.

I saw them at the Lizard & Snake in Chapel Hill right after their first album came out (around '96). It was a great show, made me a big fan. Sorry can't join you on a Wed., got kids now...

They're playing here (Denver) on Nov 11, and it will be the second time I'm going to miss them. I've seen them on Austin City Limits, and it was good. Sorry I can't offer a definitive. I'd say it's worth the drive, but I'm a big fan...

I saw them several times in Austin at the good old Electric Lounge. That was about 9 years ago, but I doubt they've changed much. Definitely worth it.

sounds good! after freezing my ears off on my ride this morning, i figured I should have two skiis under my feet instead of wheels....when I get the ski-bug, i know I have a place to go! good to have friends in cool places, eh?

Sound great live! They were not the greatest showmen, but that could have been the 95 degree heat that sweltered around us at their Lollapalooza show. Their albums are all great. Can't go wrong with Spoon.

whoaa!!! nothing like the last minute, but I found someone to go with me, yippee!!!! Spoon, here I come! the concert is tonight and I am so excited! don't care that I won't get home until after 1ish, don't care that I have to work tomorrow, don't care that I have to be coherent at work tomorrow! wheeee!!!
