I've seen people get some really glassy effects on waterfall shots. I prefer still-shots that don't gloss/glass the waterfall over but instead capture every single droplet falling

Photo 1 taken by me sometime around 1998. Taken on negative film then scanned in Minolta film scanner later.
Photo 2 was taken by a professional photographer, I later found on the net. Her name was different. The photo you see here is the most modest photo in the series.
I'm no pro, but I like to take pictures...
Same here. It can also be argued that I'm not a very good amateur either!
Haven't updated it in a long time and have plenty more to add: http://www.naputi.com/gallery_ph.html
Ok, we should have a rule... no photos that have the effects added in from photoshop. I think I'm more interested in the photos where people just took the shot and let things stand as they were, not the photoshopped ones. Photoshop can turn any mediocre shot into a really good one.
Ok, I got shots.

A photo thread! I should visit Foo more often.
This one is my favorite. It's not the picture I like that much but the memories. It's when I found this nest that I really got into photography. I spent 5 to 8 hours a day for 5 days in a blind watching this osprey family. It was great watching the day-to-day routine instead of going to a popular bird spot and grab a few "easy" snaps. I felt like a National Geographic photographer on assignment. And all the osprey nest shots I've found are taken from below the nest with the sky as the background. Mine's unique. :)

Photoshopped like this?
This is more like photo editing and part of the process. Images come right out of the box are not final products. It's not cheating.
And note the size of the file. You are wasting a lot of band width, koffee. You can post much bigger photos(in dimension) within 100kb limit.

Yeah, but Photoshop has become such an integral part of photography now. Brooks Institute here doesn't even teach film and developing anymore, everything's digital! While Photoshop can clean up some minor exposure and color-correction problems, but you still gotta be able to aim the camera, compose the shot and snap it at just the right time. You mean we can't take a perfectly fine picture like this:
http://www.gururacing.com/artwork/Wikkid911.14sm.jpg
and do THIS to it? ;)
