For all you video gamers, I recently installed one of those pivoting mirrors onto my helmet, and it feels oddly natural having an image of what's behind me in my upper left field of vision. I feel like I need a compass on my lower left now, some kind of health reading on upper right, and maybe a target crosshairs in the center. Maybe I can use a laser pointer?

I'm thinking I should get one of those kids handlebar thingies that make laser and gun noises so I can blast pedestrians as I go. Any other ideas?

Heart rate monitor could be your "health reading". It's more like a power indicator though.

You also need a stamina reading. When you bunny hop it goes down...

You know, I COULD attach a heart-rate monitor to my helmet! Hmm, it's all coming together.

Also, Halloween coming up and all, I was thinking I could decorate a white jumpsuit and skullcap in glowsticks to look like a Tron cyclist. My GF is not happy with this.

You need gps/map thing on the lower left like in gta or midnight club. You also need an Uzi, MAC 10 or SMG to do drive bys like in gta. Healthmeter on the upper left, a snack counter on the upper right and pause/save/reset buttons on the handlebars.

I oughta known. That's a good way of putting it, too. With my camelback I DO have tubes running out of my neck.

And when I don the black balaclava and riddick goggles I must look like a borg ninja. An out of shape borg-ninja with groceries, but still threatening to someone.

So far in my HUD I've got:

1) rearview vision upper left
2) heart-rate monitor, upper right
3) GPS, lower left
4) compass, bottom right
5) laser pointer, aimed center

Covers about everything, now I just have to fill a supersoaker with red paint and I'll be ready to wreak justice on the buses and cabs that keep trying to kill me.
