I have a cannondale xs800 with no crank or bb. I have an old Ultegra bb (109mm) and crank with 53-39 sprocket I tried to use this set up on it , the bb fits just fine but when I put the crank arms on the sprockets hit the chain stays my question is, is my bb to narrow or is my sprockets to big? any help will be appreciated. thank you Wayne

Your bottom bracket is too narrow. I have an xr800 with the same cranks on them (53-39) and no rub. My bottom bracket is 113 in width.

update ultagra crank arms will not bolt on to a bb-es71 yes it will bolt on and look good but when you use this set up the crank arms loosen and destroy the grooves. thanks anyway I know now...Wayne
