I just picked up an 81 Schwinn World Tourist in near mint condition, and it has the 10 speed positron system on it. Are the Derailleurs different from regular friction derailleurs, or are they work only with the front freewheel system? Btw, paid $30.00 for the Schwinn and a ladies ten speed Free Spirit, also in really good condition.

If you want to keep index working, then matching positron is what you need, if you don't need it and or can't find the stuff to make it work, regular friction will work, the FFS system will work with regular compomnents, just when one coasts, the drive train does not.
