Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm sure it's been done, but let's see how creative and poetic you all can get. Lay it on us!

Of course my favorite ride is the current, new challenge. What I love most about riding is harder: the feeling in the pit of my stomach when my bike crosses my center of gravity on a downhill turn, how tall I feel in the saddle, the roar of the wind past my ears on the downhill, getting a steady cadence going on the flats, but especially the feeling of ownership completing a ride gives. The "I am here" expands into not just the moment, but all your time, so your rides never leave you and you never leave your rides.
Just another solitary ride. Antique legs pumping the cranks of a vintage Paramount. Ride the flat for a ways, just to get the legs warmed up, then it is on to the hills. I am getting to enjoy the hills...working hard to get up the grade, then thrilled at the trip on the down side. Rolling hills, one after the other. Then it's back to the flats, give the old Paramount it's head, and watch the road sliding by. Get into the Zone, and ride. The mind is clear, the lungs relish breathing in the cool, clean air. A few more hills, then it's back to the house. My body feels great, my attitude is terrific, and I am thankful for having found my bicycles!
