When my bike was red I found red reflective tape that blended in with the bike so it did not stand out in the day. Well now my bike is bright yellow and I need yellow tape. I found this http://tinyurl.com/7ft3r though I can’t tell how yellow it is. The best tapes have the diamond pattern but they will stand out and they are not bright yellow.

Find out if you have a local sign shop that uses 3M Scotchlite or 3 Diamonds reflective self adhesive material. The scraps left over from making signs should provide more than enough for what you are doing. I used to work for a shop that made traffic signs and I used the yellow scotchlite material to do accents on a black and yellow bike, more than 35 years later it is still on and still reflecting. Their are also some safety companies that sell this kind of tape. I know I get a catalog from one but can't remember its name.

Good stuff. I got a roll of the black stuff to put on the black parts of my folding bike.
