for some reason while i was slowly aproaching a stop sign i tried to skid AND use my front brake. at first i thought "am i pedalling backwards" and simply the answer was yes, but only because my rear wheel was off the ground on its way to say hi to my head.
anyway i got up laughing and unscathed, except i seemed to have lost a toe strap somewhere along the way

it was stupid

don't worry.. I hit a car about 15 minutes ago. No damage to either, thankfully.

why would you hit the front brake while trying to skid, was that intentional or an accident? seems like bad news bears though.

I learned to skid by using the brake to unwieght the rear wheel. and drinking heavily. so far the only time I went over the bars was when my front wheel disappeared. that was so effed up...

edit: glad you're ok, dood.

Don't worry!
My friend crashed his car because he was looking at some other person's sneakers.

I get badly distracted - lots of clsoe calls. I need blinders like a horse or something.

I endoed on my mountain bike Tuesday, before I even got to the trail! I have lots of scrapes and bruises to prove it, too. It hurt to type this. ;)

I went over the bars the other day riding from work down a hill holding two xl cups of fruit in one hand and trying to break with my left and steer at the same time. It was only about 10mph. Fruit and all (me) splattered all on the pavement. Nothing fixed gear about this ride. I think I woulda been better off if I were fixed (as my conversion is in build-up mode)...but I'm not gonna take this as an opportunity to be multitasking on my bike more when its done. it was dumb...
worse off...it wasn't my bike, and I broke the cool schwinn rear carrier thingy when the bike hit the pavement : (

I've gone over board while riding in critical mass in some dark neighborhood going fast down a hill and didn't see a huge pot hole...flew off my bike but just had some road rash...then almost fell off going off a sidewalk curb and slammed my thighs into my handle bars and got some handlebar bruises on my legs...then last night fell off my bike riding in the rain when my front wheel got in the way of my toe clip and foot...fell off into a puddle of rain water:(....
