I am rebuilding my Duke air and I want to know what to lube the inner spring and slider area with. I am replacing the oil with Motul 5wt and replacing the seals with Enduros. Enduro sells some grease for 7-8 bucks, is it worth it?

Check the manufacturer'sweb site for service, tech, owners manuals etc. and see what they reccomend.

If you plan on servicing your fork more than once, then I suggest that you go to a motorcycle shop and ask for some fork lube. It's much cheaper and just good as the stuff the bike companies will sell you. Do not use normal grease, it will mess things up. If you don't plan on doing this too frequently, or you don't have space for the tub of fork lube, then I'm sure the enduro stuff is good.

I have some, unopened, but past the use-by date. As if you would eat it anyway!

Motorcycle shops have high-quality fork lube available in larger portions at lower unit cost. It works perfectly in bike forks. The Enduro stuff is undoubtedly the same, but more costly.
