General Cycling Discussion - How much would I have to pay you to stop?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You are riding a ten mile individual time trial
You're tracking your splits and are 15 seconds ahead of your previous best time ever
There is one mile to go
I'm on the side of the road with cash in hand

I've never done a TT so my first one will be my best, so $100 would cover a stop very nicely

I have done TT, and nothing will stop me from completing the entire course.....

I probably wouldn't even notice. When I'm riding all out, I really don't notice anything.

A cool grand would almost get me into a new set of Zipp 303s ... For a grand I'd hit the brakes. Is that greedy of me? :D

I't would have to be "A cool Grand" because I haven't got a clue what a "Ten Spot" or "C-Note " is:D

There's more to life than cash. You might get a passing glanze. I would be a very happy guy.

If I saw you holding out a pot by the side of the road I'd figure you were begging and throw you my banana or something:D
On time for my best ever ! sorry I wouldn't stop for anything ...................less than say a grand:D

If you're standing on the side of the road with cash in your hand just to give to me, I'll take it. I can do the time trial another day and who knows, maybe you'll be there with more cash just for me.

100$ will get me another upgrade, 1000$ will get me some dam fine nice new parts. And I'd be happier with the new parts, and have a mediocre ride, than having my best ride ever. After all this situatuion doesn't come around everytime.

$1000 will do just fine. We bought a house recently, I'm going to need that money for a better kitchen....
