Well for a overall bike the Giant is a good bet. As far as the frame I would trust the Giant. Different companies make frames differently so there are ride differences in them. They are NOT the same.

I am not knowing. I would trust the Giant. Though I personally do not reccomend either of these for this app. the Giant should hold up better.

KleinMp99 is correct, they are both made by Giant. Giant makes them for Haro who puts the Haro name on them.

Yeah and so.......Giant makes alot of people's frames so does Kinesis, and Kalloy, and KHS. however haro specs the tubing the butting if any and the geometry etc, etc. So they may be made by Giant but they are NOT the same.

Giant all the way, would you by from a middle man or would you buy direct. It obviosly cost Giant less money for their frames since they make them, where as haro has to pay giant to make their frames.

Buy giant and the savings is passed on to you. Besides Giant has a lifetime warrenty on frames, don't know about haro

I think if you check around you'll find the HARO less money for a similar spec'd bike.

I agree, Haro's are less expensive. Must be because they don't have the name recognition (in mt bike circles) as other brands. The are very well known to BMXers. Nice bikes, great value. Their XC bikes are very nice and very well spec'd for the money!

Just because someone specs a tube doesn't mean that is what they get from the builder. A friend of mine was one of the head engineers at GT and he said that was a major problem with having Taiwan make bikes for GT. He would spec materials and he would get back whatever they felt like giving him. Spec'ing something has nothing to do with delivered product, especially if you do not have a rep standing over the builders shoulders every minute - especially true when manufacturing overseas..........

Well that is probably one of the reasons GT went under. If a company spec's a product and the mfg doesn't meet that spec they are not obligated to buy it.

I agree Haro's are a great value and the reason why is they are not that well known.
