Foo - Pumpkin Carving Contest Entry

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

My wife and I entered a Pumpkin Carving Contest at the local grocery store (http://www.urbanmarketdallas.com/).

We ganked the idea from Extreme Pumpkins (http://www.extremepumpkins.com). We actually adapted two different designs into one.
If we win one of the 4 categories, we'll receive a $50 gift certificate to the store. There are only 14 pumpkins in the competition, so our chances are really good.

That is brilliant!
But I just showed it to my 5 year old and he's totally freaked out...

That is well done! Do you have any local agriculture based fairs where you are? Im sure this would be the perfect thing for it

Other than the State Fair of Texas, which ended last weekend, I'm not aware of any agriculture-based fairs around here.

I like.
One of my friends a couple years ago did something sort of similar. He took a really twisted squash and painted it like a giant bloodshot eye and stuck it in a big hole in the the center of the pumpkin. Looked pretty cool, but not quite as amusing as yours.
