I ride with a 4 year old stoker. She loves riding and is really good at pedaling and doing her fair share of work. I currently use regular toe clip and strap pedals. They work well except that her feet slip out every once in a while. This usually causes her to get hit in the back of the leg on the pedal's next rotation, and it means that we have to stop (sometimes in the middle of a hill), to get the foot back on. I have considered clipless pedals but don't fancy the idea of buying a new pair of cycling shoes (even they're even made this small) every 6-12 months.
Does anybody have some ideas either about some kind of clip or modification that might work? or about cheap clipless shoes made for children?
Thanks a lot
