I'm going to build an alternate rear wheel for my track bike with a Sturmey AW 3-speed. I may try to go inside the hub and make a 2-speed fixie, I may not. The thing has 40 holes. I know that CR18's come in 40h drilling, but I'm looking for something skinnier, as the front wheel uses mavic ma40's.
Anybody know of good options?

does nobody have any suggestions? can I build a wheel using not all spoke holes on the hub maybe?

Velocity also makes 40 hole rims in several styles. I gotta say though, 40 hole rims are usually for tandem aplications, which are going to tend to have wider rims/tires to better deal with the extra weight.

awesome--I didn't realize that velocity made deep v's in 40h. i've never used their stuff before, should be gettable through lbs's. thanks!

I REALLY like their rims. Enjoy!
or you could just use a 28- or 36-hole hub and expand your possibilities.
