wow! those are some crazy machines they look fun. I just picked up a 1984 bicycling mag from good will the other day, and saw a rowing bike for the first time and must say it looks fun. I wonder how fast you could go if you where crankin both ends with some super high gears.

I was thinking the same thing as outakontroll. That looks like fun. If you did rowing-biking one day and regular biking the next, you would have a complete workout!

Certainly true, but does the row/bike cost more than a boat? I was going to make a smart alec comment about getting away from cars, though, but then realized that rowers probably hate motor boats. Imagine riding on a road without lanes and vague rules about right of ways. Oh yeah, I see that on every morning ride....

I've seen them for paralyzed folks. When I was in Bologna, Italy, there was a paralyzed spinning instructor who even rigged up a spin bike exactly like that and was teaching classes. Incredible.

Can't remember when ,, but yes I have seen a bike that you could use both hands a feet to propel it. That was in a magazine years ago... Popular mechanics or science or one of those. peace

There is a man in FT Lauderdale who has no use of his legs has the type which is propelled by arm motion, each arm alternates the propulsion, one arm moves rearward as the other is moving forward. I see him often On the A1A beachfront
