Can I run a 12-27 10 speed on a short or medium cage? :o

I found this on Branford Bikes site: "Campy 10 speed rear derailleurs come in two cage lengths for use with double ring cranksets; normal is generally used with up to 26 tooth cassette cogs, medium for up to 29 tooth cassette cogs. The normal length cage measures 54 mm from the center of the upper pulley bolt to the center of the lower pulley bolt. The medium cage model comes in at 72 mm while the long cage is 90mm."

The simple answer is yes,altho that ain't the official Campy or Branford party line. A short also works with a 29 cog.

I had a medium cage for my 13-29 and replaced the cage with a short cage and it works fine. Obviously you have to be aware of where you are and not end up in a 53/29, but I use that gearing for going up the mountains and don't find myself in the big ring until I've gone down the cassette a bit.
So, you're good as long as you're a bit careful.
