Going down bedford today, this older gentleman in like, a full tweed suit and jacket and hat flew into an intersection and like, put his right foot down and fully slid the bike sideways cause there was a car coming that he didn't see. I was like :eek:, NICE MOVE!

Yeah.. cept you have to imagine an old dude in a full suit and shoes with a hat locking up the rear brake doing this on an old schwinn road bike.

Slvoid, reminds me of something I did once.

Stopped a little too fast one day right next to a curb. Rear wheel lifted off the ground. When it came down, it landed up on the curb. I had to think quick and jerk the front wheel up, and it landed on the curb, too.

I dismounted, only to look up and see a bunch of bike couriers staring at me. Of course, I acted like I meant to do it that way.

There's nothing like a good broadslide in traffic in the morning. Never underestimate the old guys. :p
