Not an addition, but a correction...

Your Xootr link is in error...it points to this: http://www.long-john.com/www.xootr.com when it should be this: http://www.xootr.com/xootr/swift/bikes.shtml ;)

i've got one of these (http://home.wanadoo.nl/peugeotshow/images/1974_6.jpg). i don't suppose they're still in production, or if that's something you'd want to include. nonetheless, there it is.

Giant has a different line of Bikes available in Japan. The have the MR series and the Halfway series here (http://www.giant.co.jp/2006/bikes/comfort/mr_halfway.html) as well as the new line of Minis, similar to the 2006 Hammerhead from Dahon. Not really a folder, but if Dahon can sell them ("folding bicycles. That's all we do") as "pre-folded" bikes, maybe these shoud be part of the list too. (:

And if you decide to go back in time, please don't forget the Halfway RS (rear suspension), produced untill 2003 and still sold in some places.

As far as I know, we have at least two owners of these machines here.

Great site by the way, thank you for putting it together.

Hey Chop! Great idea. Your site is fast becoming a reference to steer people to looking for a one-stop source for folder links and advice.

I noticed a couple of links that have the same syntax error as James Swift pointed out. (the KHS comes to mind)

Other than that, awesome!

Sorry guys,

One thing it's all changed again! The link is now AtoZ of folding bikes, designers, sellers & publishers (http://long-john.com/pagefoldlinks.htm)

Maybe too frazzled yesterday, Xootr, KHS corrected the rest sorted when I had some 'nosebag'
On top of that I almost 'bought it' last night, after acar driver fell asleep just outside Lille in France. He ended up sideways across the motorway, we skidded & went sideways but managed to miss the two terrified occupants! Unfortunately a truck behind me hit them. The car driver came off pretty badly, but, hopefully should survive. Scary stuff! But that's Rock & Roll!
Out on my 'wire wheeled' Strida today (in Rennes, Brittany) a lot more tranquil!!!!

Sorry guys,

Many of the links on that page seem to be wonky. For example, if I click on "Bike Friday" I'm directed to "http://long-john.com/www.bikefriday.com/", which of course yields a Not Found error. It looks like the leading "http://" was omitted from the href, so it's being interpeted as a relative link.

Thanks a million Gordon! A heroic effort, links seem intact, have already got links to few, but equally, there are some great additions! May all your dreams be wet ones! Probably be in Glasgow's SECC with 'The Rakes' & 'Franz Ferdinand' on 23rd Nov if you fancy a  in 'The Blackfriars'! ;)
Safe riding!

Dear Chop!,

I was very pleased to see that the additional links that I provided were all intact and will be added to your A to Z of Folding Bikes. Incidentally your A to Z list couldn't be reached tonight - although I have tried several times to do so. All the other parts of your Web site were accessible however.

I note that you will be in Glasgow for the SECC concert on 22nd and 23rd November and would like to meet up with you and have a chat. Since you already own several folding bikes, you might be interested to visit Kinetics - which is a small specialist bike shop devoted to folders and recumbents, located only a couple of streets away from our house. At the moment, the shop has 3 of the new Bromptons; the Birdy and Frog folders from Riese & Muller; the Airnimal Joey and Chameleon; the Bridgestone Moulton and an older Moulton, plus numerous recumbents from HP Velotechnik, and a Scooterbike from Hase - all available as demo bikes. There are also R&M city bikes and the range of Koga Myata touring bikes currently in stock - including an incredible Twin Traveller folding tandem! The Kinetics URL is http://www.kinetics.org.uk/ I would suggest that you add it to the other list of specialist shops that you have on your site. It has at least as many folders in stock as some of the other shops that are already on your list - e.g. Trophy Bikes in Philadelphia - that I have visited recently.

If you are available during the day, we can easily arrange for you to visit Kinetics and have something to eat and drink at our home and see the Petrie family's folders (3 Dahons; a Giant Halfway and a Universal Stowaway). If you are only available in the evening, then, of course, meeting at the Blackfriars pub in the Merchant City would be fine.

Hi Gordon,
Wow, that's spooky! I was going to get in touch with the guys @ Kinetics to see if it would be possible to fit a Speed-Drive while I'm there. The Ato Z link seemed to be playing up while I was altering & uploading stuff, including Kinetics link by the way.
Just checked & uploaded latest changes, all working fine including new link from my homepage.
Still not 100% that we'll make the second Glasgow show, as we have to do a programme for Jules Holland which has caused the cancellation of our involvement in the Aberdeen and 1st Glasgow gigs. I'll let you know as soon as I know.
Safe riding!

Dear Chop!,

Many thanks for your message. We do hope that you will make it to Glasgow for the second SECC concert so that we can meet up with you.

In the meantime, you might care to inspect your link to the Brompton Web site - which has an artefact "%20" attached as a suffix to the URL. This prevents anyone using the link from reaching the site.
Also your link to Bazooka has a double "http" in the URL that invalidates the IP address. Again this prevents anyone reaching the Web site.

Good luck with your trip to Glasgow. Best wishes!

Gordon,

Thanks for your continued (& valued!) quality control!
Brompton sorted & Bazooka sorted! The Brompton link was weird because it looked fine when I checked it, but I also found that I couldn't open it, slight re-jig & it deffo works fine now. Just arrived in Hamburg from Berlin, will be back in 'Blighty' (London) 2moro. Probably be making a start on another list for links to info on dis-continued models................Also adding more folding electric bikes, dealers etc. All contributions gratefully accepted.

Glasgow is looking quite likely now!
