as a sidebar to this, just about 2 years after this article, the Kremer Prize was won...
the designer then went on to topple the 2nd Kremer Prize not 2 years after winning the 1st one...

anyone remember that?
of course it all happened because of cycling... (and a little bit of aeronautic engineerin...)

for those 2young to remember, and being well pre-internet, I remember reading the ocassional reports leading to 'it', in Velonews...
it was all very cool
