Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - ever been egged?

I was on my bike (standing still), by an intersection near Lincoln square in Chi.
Friday night and a lot of beer coarsing through (german neighborhood, sold by the liter).
Some **** threw an egg at me, I must concede, great aim. Hit my bullhorns and sprayed all over me.
Has this ever happened to you?
Around Lincoln Park people yell things like "get a car" but never an egg before.
What else do they yell at you, how do you respond (besideds U-lock to hood or winshield... you liar)

Back in college in the mid 90's I was just cruising down , admittedly on the sidewalk at the time, but it was plenty wide, and as I passed some frat-lookin'-boy, he suddenly decided to violently shove me.

I immediately hit the dirt. New Brunswick, NJ was a pretty tough town back then, still is, but this came at the hands of your average college student...

So, I guess nothing was thrown at me, but it shocked the hell out of me. I looked back up the guy, and he was just walking away like nothing happened...I didn't retaliate at all. I figured my sharp and acerbic wit would have been lost on the jar-head.

I hadn't thought of that in a while till now. Thanks for bringing it up. I'm going to call my therapist now.

I got hit by an egg downtown minneapolis while I was locking up. Had my front wheel in my hand and I almost chucked it at the suv the egg came out of but I came to my senses and just let them have their childish fun.

when i was a kid the jocks used to yell skate or die and throw beer cans at us. Hasn't happened on the bike yet.

an suv threw an egg at me on halloween on my ride home from work. i wasn't too upset because i knew it was going to happen because of where i was riding. i figured it wasn't worth pursuing since i already had my one fight for the day with a driver who cut into the bike lane just to get to the red light a little faster. i kicked his liscense plate off and he was pissed. sometimes i hate riding a bike in nyc.

Rocks, last night on my way home in the dark; thrown by laughing kids on the sidewalk (inner city Baltimore). Fortunately, they missed me, but hit an SUV I was passing at the time, which I found pretty funny.

it was about midnight on my long commute home from work on a friday night in LA not far from UCLA. a big pickup truck with three guys and a handfull of eggs applied directly to the back of the head, the force nearly knocking me off the bike while going probably 17-18 mph. had about ten more miles to home with the slimey stuff in my hair and running down my back. great fun.
had things thrown at me from school buses when i lived there and i'd chase the bus down and beat on the side and tell the driver. twice they stopped and threw the offenders off.
