Two questions, actually.

First, BF used to remember my name and I didn't have to log in every visit. It was done automatically. Now it forgets me (sob) and I have to log in every visit. What's up with that?

Second, when logged in, after reading the newest post in a given thread, the thread remains in bold and it's as if I hadn't ready the newest post at all. What's up with that?

Thanks in advance.

Well, have you checked the box next to it that says "remember me" You know I have to ask, so I can rule that out. :)

Now I am not sure about the second question, it is probably something that Joe, or Mael could figure out though

Yes, it's checked. And I haven't changed any other settings, either.

Check you cookie setting to make sure you are allowing cookies. You might also find the cookie directory is getting to large. Try to clear that directory out. Also check to make sure you have checked "rememebr me" :)

Cheers

I emptied my cookie directory. I've checked "remember me."

Same result. BF (and no other website to which I'm a registered member) doesn't remember me when I leave the site. Any other ideas? Once again, this just started happening after months of working properly.

Is your browser set to accept cookies?

Did you recently install any sort of internet security package that might block cookies?

If you have a different browser on your computer give that a try.

Yes, No, and I suppose I'll try that. What a pain.

Okay, I got it fixed.

I found something in my preferences that, while I was allowing preferences, for some reason there was a specific command to deny BF cookies. How it got there, I'll never know. But I changed it and everything is fine now. Woohoo!

Thanks for the help!
