Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

On Monday the 7th, I will be working on the south side of Charlotte(NC), in the morning and
might have a few free minutes to visit a bike shop in the area in the pm. Anybody have a favorite?
My interesrt would be a shop that has a variety of brands since I will just be looking.

There's a bike shop in downtown Matthews (south side of Charlotte). I don't know the name but it's right in the center of town. They have some pretty cool road bikes and mountain bikes there.

There's Bikes South, near Carolina Place Mall, on Hwy 51, and Bikes East newly relocated in downtown Matthews (can't miss it, look for the giant 8 foot bike out front.) about 20 feet from the railroad track in the center of town. Bike Gallery more into Charlotte on Park Rd a mile or two towards East Blvd from Park Road Shopping Center. At Park Road Shopping Center is a national chain bike shop, can't remember the name. In Waxhaw, N.C. with is southeast of Charlotte down Hwy 16 (Providence Road) there is the Bolt Brothers Bike shop also located on the RR tracks.
If you get north of Charlotte in the Mooresville area, you will find my favorite bike shop. Cool Breeze Cyclery right in downtown Mooresville, also within ten or twelve steps of the RR tracks. Hummm!????? Awful lot of bike shops located near RR tracks. Wonder if there might be a pattern worth investigating?

Thanks for the info. I ended up at 'Ultimate Bikes' in Pineville which has more bikes than several
local shops combined. Thanks again.
