Hey there,

In NYC and the subway is driving my nuts.
I miss my bicycle. Is there anywhere you'd recommend to rent one around 72nd street or any other place in the city?
Yes, it can have gears and handbrakes and a little map on the front. I won't be picky.

Thanks!
Clayton

Pedal Pushers. 2nd Ave. Between 68th & 69th. (I hope you're on the east side.) Talk to Evan or Roger. Tell them Ken from Bike the Big Apple referred you to them. They may not know who the hell you're talking about, but it makes me feel important to say so.

I'll let them know who sent me.

Ooh, clayton, if you get a comfort bike with a little map on the front you need to get a picture of yourself doing a wheelie on it...

and you should ride up to nyack with us tomorrow on it, it'll show off the roadies with their 1000 geared machines.

this weekend is supposed to be really nice. it would drive me crazy not to be able to ride in weather like this. good luck finding a rental. central park has them as well, but they're pretty crappy.

If this ride is happening saturday afternoon and if I have a tourist bike by then I'm so up for it. Was gonna go to trackstar and talk about the hipster problem, but riding is always better! I made plans for sat night, but can play bikes from 1 to 6 on sat. You'll neet to post fast though. I have access to a computer once I leave the office and no cellphone either (rolling caveman style these days;))
Currently staying in Norwalk CT and will be there tonight. If anything is happening up there let me know (I seriously doubt it but you never know).

Later,
C

Ride is in the morning to Nyack. there's a group leaving at 7 and then me and others are leaving at 9. I'm sure we can get something togethe for the afternoon. What size do you ride, maybe someone has an extra you can sport for the time being. Not much going on this weekend... still tired from calavera. As much as people hate on trackstar, it's a cool shop with cool peeps so you might dig it there if not to at least look at some bike pr0n.

Ah morning - that is too early for me. Thanks for the offer though!
I didn't mean to hate on Trackstar, I went there in August and it was great store.
Any other places you recommend?
