First set of campy hubs ive seen crack like that... apparently not uncommon(?) - I can't wait till my phil's break... or suntours, campys, gipiemmes, velocitys, mallards, hardens, zues'...

Has anyone ever snapped a (quality) quill stem?

you did! and i replied with some ridiculous response like "no, they have one too many points..."

boy did i think i was clever at the time! funny thing about that, i can't say for sure but i think i splintered it right after the start of the race on the first lap. MrWhite launched an attack and i responded to it... i remember hearing (and feeling) a loud pop, but all i was thinking about was getting his wheel. i didn't think about it again until the next day at work when i noticed the hub had exploded and the rim was wonky. i blame you... :)

I'm only going to ride my Campy sherrif stars on the track as per Campagnolo's request. The new DA high flange built to non-machined deep Vs will be for street riding whenever they ship in December.
