Here is an Overview of the FLA MS150 Ride

The Ride was Sept 21 and 22nd from St Augustine to Daytona Beach, FL. Another BF member (Bigdogtoall) and I rode down together to do the ride. They had 1800 riders participate. We had wonderful weather both days ( 90 Degrees and Sunny). And It was 81 miles Each Way! So I did a total of 162 miles. I completed the 81 miles each day in 4hrs and 5 Mins (4Hrs35Min W/stops), I was surprised at my consistency. I averaged 19.9 mph on my bike, (I slowed down the last couple of miles due to the heat). And I felt great with my accomplishment.

And No, I did not do the century on the first day, at the 78 mile marker you either turn left for 3 miles to the finish or make a right and loop back around and redo the last portion of the ride to make it 103, I started feeling the heat and I wanted to save my energy for the next day (just being Cautious). So I'm still happy with my accomplishment. :beer:

Congratulations Hector! :beer:

I was worried that you did the MS150 in Conyers/Covington?? With all the rain we had last weekend I thought you might have drowned since I haven't seen any other posts from you this week. ;)

I'm jealous. Warm sunny days. Gee, I can't remember what those are like. And the beach looks very inviting.
I want to know how you got your bike through the pool shown one of the pictures. :)

Are you still planning on doing the century next weekend 9/28 - 9/29?

How about 10/5 - 10/6?

Hey Ron;

Yes the Beach was awesome and how else are you going to rinse off all that salt spray just ride your bike through the Pool! Hehehe:p
Yes I'm all signed up for the Six Gap Cent on Sunday 29th, We will just have to keep an eye on the weather, If it is raining, there is no way I want to fly down those mountain roads while it's wet.

I'm feeling pretty good so if my Buddy wants to do the Cent on Sat Oct 5th, I may be easlily talked into it, but it really depends on how this Sunday goes. Are you going to do the Bikefest that weekend? If you are let me know so I can look for you.....

If it doesn't stop raining soon I won't even be able to ride around the block. :eek:

I went out yesterday during lunch and bought a Cycle-Ops magneto (http://www.graberproducts.com/default.asp?module=cycle) trainer. I'll be riding in the living room tonight. :beer:

Wish the replay of the Vuelta a Espania came on a little earlier so I could watch that while riding.

I'll get back to you with an answer about the BikeFest.
