This is my first post here, so please forgive me if I take any wrong turns.
Here’s what I got for you: I’m looking into buying a Havnoonian (southeastern PA bike manufacturer) steel tack bike at about the 1k price range. I have no doubt that the frame is top quality, but I can’t find much reliable info about the bike’s accoutrements, the wheels in particular. Their hand built with mavic MA2 rims, DT SS 14g spokes, and suzui hubs. At this price range I want to be relatively sure that the wheels will be pretty responsive (read stiff/fast/snappy/quick) and durable, as I hope to use this bike for commuting, training, and general mischief. I would be grateful for some opinions and some feedback, especially regarding the hubs, and whether or not they will hold up to the city streets.
Also, it has a shimano rsx crank arm. Can anyone recommend a better one at a nice price?
Thanks,
Helmethead
