Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Cramerotti

Anyone know anything about these frames.
I know they don't make them anymore, I was just curious.

My wife rides one. Had it put together by a shop here in Calgary (Campione) that dealt with them exclusively for a while. I think they're still around. Can't remember if I saw them the last time I was there. Good quality frame build. Classy italian style. It was a custom build up because we wanted to make sure it fit.

Cramerottis are still being made, just not in steel anymore.
Designed in Canada, made in Italy.
There are a fair number of guys riding Cramerottis at our local track.
Guiseppe still owns and runs Campione here in Vancouver too. The track frames are designed by a former Dutch National track champion, who also designed our velodrome. Nice guys, great shop. So much bike porn in there.

If you look through the website you should see that (at least according to the website which could be outdated info) there are some NOS frames in steel still. Who knows—maybe they'll custom a steel frame for you.

Actually, Guisseppe owns the Campione stores in CAlgary and VAncouver, word is he has a store in the LA area as well.

Yes they still make steel bikes. Look at the site there are Foco, EOM 12.5 and EOM 16.5 and Steel/Carbon mixes.

Lots of Aluminum and some Carbon, he is going to adding Titanium soon I'm told.

Agreed with the post above - more bike porn than a normal person can handle in one day.

The bikes are, I think, well priced, and ride real nicely.

sorry, i should have specified. they're not making steel *track* frames anymore. strictly aluminum.
but yeah, last time I was in there they still had a bunch of NOS steel track frames in the back room.
hmmm. maybe i'll stop by and drool a bit on my way home tonight.

Yeah, shame about the steel track frames. Campione will build one for you though if you go in ansk about them.

Remember Cramerotti has been around VAncouver for a long time now. Opened his first store on MacDonald and 16th back around 1984 ( I used to shop there) then went out to Broadway and Cambie ( those stores were called La Bicicletta).

He sold that store when he went to Toronto and opened La Bicicletta there, the store in TO that is on the web is the store he opened.

When He came back to Vancouver he opened Campione, and what a gorgeous store it is. I go there when ever I get to town and as a sign of what a great store it is, it is the only bike store my wife and kids actually like going into.

If you are looking for Campy - that is the place.

I remember asking the Rudy Project distributor one time how come Cramerotti's prices were so much lower than anyone else, he told me that that Cramerotti has a store in Italy as well so does all his own importing - I think that is why you get so much stuff in the store that you just don't find anywhere else.

I don't know if it is open yet. Guisseppe's son is finishing University in the area ( Santa Monica ??) and I understand he wants to stay there - - I expect it will be called Campione Cycles.

hyperevue - thanks for this post. this is exactly what I was looking for in a new frame. new, Italian, steel, track geometry and under $700 . I just put in my order for their last 50 cm. its the 2003 model (not on the site, but the same as the 2002). they have some other sizes left. grab them. they were super great to deal with and I think these bikes are hot. i spoke to them on the phone one day and they mentioned that they can still get new steel frames from italy, but they were around $750. still nicer than debernardi and nessuno, imho. i probably won't build it up for at least a year, but it seems new Italian steel is becoming rare. if anyone has pics of theirs built up or links, I'd apreciate it.
