Touring - Prevailing Winds?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just finished up a 4 day ride on the Germany / Poland border starting at Kostrqyn (Poland) and going as far south as Bad Muskeu (Germany) with my wife and some friends and then bike/trained back. Had a great time and enjoyed every moment of it despite the wind that we biked into for the first 3 days. Anyone out there know where I would be able to find a site or any information on the prevailing winds vs. time of year in Europe so I could better plan my next trip? Thank you.
Wikipedia.org has an article about winds in general, there is also information about prevailing winds. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind. This of course is in very large scale. Local conditions vary a lot.

Search for statistics from the different national weather services.
If anyone is interested, for Canada it's: http://www.climate.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/climate_normals/index_e.html
