Did anyone see that little ITN news piece about the non-polluting car that runs on compressed air? It uses a small 25 hp. piston-driven engine that uses compressed air, stored in tanks, to power it. Zero emmissions.
Of course, to create the compressed air, a compressor is needed at the "fueling" station, which is driven by some kind of power. And in a collision, would the compressed air tanks explode?
Still, an innovative, simple idea. Will it work? Time will tell whether the new company that manufactures them gets enough orders for compressed air cars to make a profit.
At least people are thinking outside the box.
