Just curious if anybody signed up before the registration closed this past Sunday. Fortunately, I got registered but I had no clue it would fill up in 3hrs! Also, any race reports from this years Florida IM?? Thanks.

Just curious...were you able to sign up online? Someone was telling me that you had to be there in person to sign up...Then again, he was talking about IM Canada.

My buddy completed IM Florida in 10:15 and missed qualifying for Kona by about 15 min in the M40-44 age group. It was his first IM so my guess is that he was very happy with his time but I haven't spoken to him yet (just saw his results online). If he sends out a race report, I'll ask if it's OK to post it on here.

I was there this year. Weather was ideal, low/no humidity and as high as 80 degrees. I heard 2400 was the final number registered, but, about 2100 actual shows. Well run - they really treat you well at these events. Plenty of support on the bike and run. ABout every 10 miles on the bike and every mile on the run. Only gripe was the flight into Panama City. I flew in Wednesday night on a plane full of triathletes. Due to many bikes, about half the flights checked-in luggage went awol. I didn't get mine until very late Thursday afternoon. My bike and run apparell were in it so I couldn't get a run or ride in that day.

My first IronMan. 13:40. Finished. Goal achieved. Can't wait to do my 2nd one.
