I'm a fan of Trek and Kona bikes...this is a toughie!!!

Ride them both...at the end of the day it's a matter of personal choice.

I prefer kona so I voted kona. But really try both and see which suits you best. :)

I love both bikes but cannot decide which to choose. If it were not for the warranty I would probably choose the Kona but Trek has lifetime warranty and Kona has 3 years.

IMHO, Nunu's better, it has mostly Deore/LX, Trek has Alivio. Don't know about the fork and the frame, though, but I've heard very good things about Marzocchi. The Trek is cheaper, but I guess you have to sacrifice quality for that.
