I just prefer my links pinned back together. I'd be concerned it'd break.
Im not worried at all about mine. have there ever been any stories of them breaking? ever? if they did, i'm guessing it was 100% user error which happens with everything.
it made cleaning my chain a breeze. in order to do it (to the extent i intended) i would have had to purchase a chain break. i'm very glad the shop i bought from decided to use it.
