you don't need two bikes. learn to maintain and fix the one you have.

He's going to strap it to his ankle, ok? That just made me think of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Whatever you build, don't forget the carbon headset spacers.

a good, strong lightweight frame to buy would be the Volume Ardelean

You clearly have no clue what you're talking about. Almost everyone I know of that bought that frame has bent the rear triangle.

have i ever ridden one...no.
do i know anybody that rides one-yes.
do they ride street-yes...therfore it can take the abuse of street (this persons actually pretty good. hes sponsored by 5ive bmx.)
is it still in good condition and not have dents in it-yes.

ive only heard good things about it. i like the companys view. i was going to buy one myself until i got a really good deal on an old general lee that saved alot of money of buying the endemic..especially when i feel like im at that point in my riding where i havent progreseed enough for it to be worth it to buy a brand new frame.

I'm considering a "backup" bike of sorts. My daughter seems to want to race. She likes my bike. So I'm thinking of giving her mine, and upgrading to a better cruiser. After a little thought, and riding a 20" for 5 minutes. I realized that cruisers are the way for me to stay. Anyway, she wont ride forever, and may quit after the first crash. So I'll get my bike back, having a "backup" bike. Now, I just have to seach for a good cruiser for about $300 or less.

Keep the cruiser, and get a 20" dirt jump bike. Relive your youth.

Relive the crashes you mean? :)

Hey, post pics of your 20"er. Especially with you on it.

I try not to think about that part. I just know that I can treat my Backtrail like the bikes I had as a kid. No worries about breaking the bike.

I'm assuming it's a steel bike?

Full cro-mo frame, bars, fork, and tubular cranks. 48 spoke wheels with 14mm axles.
