Classic & Vintage - Value of CAmpy REcord FD/RD stuff

I am converting a bike to anothe use, removing the Campy Record FD/RD, levers, cables + parts. Vintage early 70's. It's my usual M.O. to just box up stuff and hang on to it and maybe never use it again, but I"m wondering what kind of value this stuff has? I did a brief look over at ebay, but didn't really get serious (or rather, I got distracted)

I know Nuovo and Gran Record are above it, but the Record was a good line.

I sold an old Record rear derailer to a Japanese collector for $150. I bought it used in the '80s for $10 and used it for many years. He was thrilled with it and thanked me profusely. Maybe he knew something that I didn't. It worked well, but it was ridiculously heavy.

I think you mean Super Record, not Gran Record. I put my NOS Super Record with titanium bolts on eBay and nobody bid on it. Go figure!

Super will always sell, if the starting price is right. The really hot Super Record, is the first generation stuff made before '78. Of the second generation rear derailleurs, the earliest date codes seem to be the most valuable ('78-'82). Most common seem to be PAT 84, PAT 11 (1985), and the last of 'em without any PAT code.

Mine's a PAT 82. I think I'll hang on to it for a few more years. Maybe I'll be able to get more for it when they become more scarce. I bought it to use it, but then I decided that I like the "old world" look of the Nuovo Record better.

I have a nuovo Record RD with Pat.81. It's in great shape except the wheels need relacement. any idea of date and value?

does anybody know how to date this stuff? pat 81 is 1981? or is that just to logical for italians?

pat 81 patent 1981 it's very logical (IMHO)
its when you get one that reads Pat 11
or a crankarm has 11 in a diamond that it gets
confusing!
Makes more sense than the Suntour or ShimaNo date
codes!
