I slept well last night and my neck was feeling better this morning. I figure I must have slept on it wrong the other night. It sure was nice having more cushy accommodations. The weather was looking great outside, so after breakfast, Kelly and I did some riding around Victoria. We stopped at a couple bike shops where I priced some tires. The one I want is about $40, which is a lot, but was highly recommended to me by John in Prince Rupert. Kelly took me out to the Port of Victoria where you can walk out on a long breakwater. We checked out the kelp, seabirds, and harbor seals feeding on the small fish in the area. Just across the water we could see Port Angeles, Washington. The feeling of being so close to the lower 48 started to set in. We shared some ice cream and then took a ride over to a field to throw around the disc and enjoy the nice sunny day. After sweating it up a little in the midday heat, we put down the disc and got out the hacky sack. We definitely lacked skills but finished with a slight improvement. I did some break tightening on my bike and then we headed over to the fisherman’s wharf for some fish and chips. After a nice day out in the sun, we headed back to Kelly’s place to relax. I noticed a stray lock of hair hanging down around my face so I decided to tie hemp around it. It turned out to be hard work, but after some time I finished, wondering if it was really worth the trouble. I had a nice shower and then had some wine as I tried to get some computer work done. I am dreading the task of typing about 20 days worth of journaling into the computer, but I know I’ll feel pretty good when I have it done with. I’ve already completed sorting about 350 photos that are stored on my camera. (11 miles)

Peace
