And EVERYONE who attended any/all festivities at the BFMG. I had a great time.
It was interesting to meet the online community. The DCC handed out these instead of spokecards so we were all able to communicate properly in person. Nice touch! ;)

I had to use all the cards to display the full range of emtions ;) :D :o :( :p   I went through while rocking Michigan Ave with Shants and his hot pants (or lack of pants) really the highlight of the whole event for me.

Shants was a blast, and his bike was almost as hot as his garb.
Trevor, Pleasure to meet you! I think some Merkin related graphics should be considered for your frame, but that could simply be the dozen joints I just smoked talkin' here :)
Ira, Thanks! It was really nice hangin out w/ you as well. I may come down for the TDC
Carlos, I was stoked to be able to bust out my geeky worm technique. Haven't done that since 1982 when I was on the Gong Show. :p And yeah, if your "happy tassle" ain't sore, you aren't doing it right.Very nice meeting you!

Damn, Judah, I want a rematch on the trackstand comp! My legs were too shaky from following Msngr.

I had a great time too. Thanks to everybody for the generosity and the effort, and for putting up with (or causing) so many antics. Oh, and special props to Salome for the beer, chocolate, and cheese curds on Friday night. My stomach is still cringing.

aw. i feel all warm and fuzzy being back on the forums today. maybe it's just the hangover and lack of sleep, but, hey, i know you guys now! isn't that cool?

Jeff, we can't thank you enough. Gummy bears cannot show our appreciation. You're a super awesome. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Naz, what can I say? We got lost, you got us found. We got arrested, you didn't mind. We broke your friend's arm, you told us where to go get brunch. Awesome.
Judah, Galen, Dave, Scott, and anyone else I was too drunk to see/remember, thanks for making things truly awesome. Galen, thanks for dinner. Judah, I believe it's your turn to come to DC now.
Jason and Jon, thanks for being at the track sunday am. We had fun, our naieve bliss and hangovers mixing with the wind conditions to make us goofy.
Sam, thanks for rigging us up good and directing us to tasty pizza.
Ben, I'm super glad you're ok and hope no new injuries have been discovered. Remember to trash your helmet and get a new one. PM me if you need a witness. Ride safe.

And to all y'all: you have a place to stay anytime you come to dc. Our bridges don't have scary metal grates, our city doesn't get that windy, and our cops can't be confused with rent-a-cops. What are you waiting for?

Here's to riding halfway across the country in a car to not race at all. Dammit.

Yeah, good times, good times....
Damn, I can't believe it's already my turn again, I was just there a few months ago.

Damn, Judah, I want a rematch on the trackstand comp! My legs were too shaky from following Msngr.

Bring it. That wasn't even a long trackstand comp, what with the 1 minute counts. Anytime man, anytime. At least one Chicago person can trackstand with no hands, for that I give you props. :p :)

and thanks judah for sleeping on the floor. I totally just kicked you outta your spot. Any time you're in DC, either of you can look me up!

No worries, at that point I was so drunk and umm, yeah, good times...

Judah, nice bike, and nice job taking the Trackstand contest!

Thanks man, wish we could've hung out more. Oh well, next time...

Man, I *wish* I were from Chicago because then I'd have gotten sweet prizes for first local in the alleycat. Instead, I got jack. Next time, let's make sure third place gets, like, a free tube or something. I'm the saddest racer that ever was. :(

Damn, so they can't trackstand or beat out-of-towners in a race through their own city, well, at least they can skid a long way in the rain  :p

You Chicago guys are still the best.

That out of towner knew the city well!

Also this was the beauty of a 'roll your die' race. Even if you were the fastest and knew the city down to the little side streets you could lose if you rolled a 3 at Val's checkpoint!

thanks again to the DCC and naz for putting it all to gether and making it happen.
it was great to meet so many guys who waste all my time at work.
riding after brunch at mannys was super fun, thanks to the local guys who showed us around and made sure we didnt get too lost (except for the last part of the alleycat :) ) and thanks to all the awsome sponsers who put up some sweet prizes and awsome free food and drink.

BTW; keiker barely counts as an out of towner considering he has only been an ex local for around a year.
i am hoping for a warmer climate next time(SF???) so i can compete in the trackstand comp. (i was so cold i could barely trackstand with both hands so when it got to no hands i was out waaay to soon)

Judah
11-14-05, 12:26 PM
Didn't Msngr roll a 3 at Val's checkpoint?

All ****-talking aside, Chicago guys, you rock!

And yeah, next year will be SF, and we'll do it when the weather is awesome, and someone other than me will win the trackstand comp. :p

Hands down the DCC put on a fabtaboulus time. Incredible hospitality. My door is open to anyone of the crew if/when you're out in SoCal. Naz, Salome, Steaktaco, 0.00, etc.... hats off. Oh and a face punch to [165] :)

Locust, I made a couple routing erros on the ride, but having lived over a year ago did help. But the Chicago grid is so helpful in getting around.

I posted up a weekend ride report at www.myspace.com/mkiecker if you are so inclined.

Thanks again Chicago. I miss you and my old city already.

good to see again Jason! Your bike is still my favorite, when is the Milwaukee Santa Ride this year? I am going to see what I can do. I still think we should try for the Hoan Bridge again!

I have to say that this was probably one of the most amazing weekends I have ever had! DCC pulled this off like they do it for a living. I was addmittedly nervous about this from the get go; I get a little sketched when I'm not entirely sure what I'm getting myself into, what can I say? Before I go off and get sentimental and sh*t, well here I go anyway. It was awsome to meet everyone. Naz thanks for guiding me in Fri. and storing my crap, Salome ... were to start, you fukcing rock like block of jalapeno cheese (oh crap thats still in my bag), Teadoggg, thanks for the moustache and a rad party (even though I felt like **** and had no desire to drink until 11pm after all the f***ing beer was gone), Msngr your a Super Hero, North East coast reh-prah-sent., Super Rookie I can't wait to see the footage from Milwaukee, Fulton and Michigan; we were haulin' ass ... sucks you got the 3. Stickyfoot huge congrats on the 3 spot nice job buddy! Jrowe sweeeeet bag brothah'. FNB I hope your not damaged for life after Fri nights sleeping arrangments. Shants I will be quoting your foul fukcing mouth for months you are one funny MF. good to ride the last 2 CP's with you. I could go on on on on, Chicago I will see you soon. SF will be great next year Judah and Galen! ok I'm done.
