Just curious what is the biggest size tire anyone has put on a Jake, Jake the Snake, or Major Jake. I have 700x30 right now and they don't have enough volume for the rooty singletrack I ride. The biggest my LBS stocks is 700x35 and they don't have any 29" tires so I don't have much to experiment with. Anyone running a 29" tire or anything larger than a 700x35?

Hi!

I have 700X40 winter tires with long studs on my Jake. No problem.

I tried to run a 700x47 set of Michelin Transworld Citys (Cities!?) on my '05 Jake and found that they rubbed on the rear stays when out of the saddle. I only had a couple of milimetres to spare under the fork steerer too.
