Hi crew

I have heard that Rockymountain bikes and especially the Elevation model dont have their decals coated so as a result they are prone to pealing off sometimes...is that true? I noticed that Scott/specialized/trek/giant/kona coat the decals...resulting a more sturdy finish. Also i would like to know if the elevation has an isis bb or a square taper one.... seen the site but couldnt make out a conclusion....
thanks again....
ps. any comments on the new manitou axel fork?

Unfortunately it's true. I bought myself a RM Stratos in June and I've noticed a few spots where the decals are scratched from rocks and whatnot, especially along the stays.

I also know of a guy who, because of inexperience or stupidity - I'm not sure which - washed his RM with a high pressure hose and blew the stickers off his bike! (nice enough guy but I'm leaning towards stupid on this one). Not to mention he needed a new bottom bracket after that, but oh well.

Some people remove tham on purpose. Personally if I ever bought a Rocky mountain bike it would the first things gone. I find them utterly atrocious.
